In this unique one-day workshop, artist and Butoh dancer Yumi Umiumare will introduce the basic philosophy and physical exercises in Butoh, a Japanese dance form. Participants will explore the intersection of movement and simple ritual, fostering a deeper connection to themselves, others, and the world around them.
No matter if you're a dancer, theatre maker, or just someone interested in connected deeper with their body through movement, this workshop is open to all levels of experience.
