Bankstown Arts Centre has a range of facilities that are available for hire throughout the year
We are currently accepting applications for regular (ongoing) and casual hire. Preference for hirers will be given to arts-based bookings.
Most venues can be hired on a casual or regular basis (more than 12 times per year). To check availability, or ask for space dimensions, contact the Arts Centre via email at BACVenue@cbcity.nsw.gov.au or call us on (02) 9707 5400.
All bookings must be submitted at least 21 business days before the requested hire date.
The foyer provides the main entry to the facility and can be used for ticketing and registration space.
Any afterhours theatre bookings with over 30 people must include foyer hire as per health and safety reasons as outlined in the National Construction Code for the provision of sanitary and other facilities.
The Blackbox Theatre is a multipurpose space for performances, lectures and meetings. It features tiered seating of 130, which is retractable to also create a flat floor space. It is air conditioned and fully equipped with theatre lighting, video projection, lecture and conference facilities.
A venue technician is a requirement for hiring the theatre.

Rehearsal Space 2 is a 15.6 x 7.3m studio suitable for general rehearsals, creative development, theatre, dance and music training. The space is equipped with speakers, full-length mirrors and professional grade sprung floors. The capacity is 60.

Studio 1 is a workshop room available for multimedia, arts/crafts and small meetings.
The space has a capacity of 15 and a minimum of four hours is required.
This grassed area accommodates a wide range of outdoor cultural and art activities, such as performances, festivals and markets.
The courtyard can also be hired in conjunction with other facilities to use as a breakout space, to provide refreshments, and more.
