Create your own magical clay sculptures inspired by the ancient dogū figurines of Japan!

About the workshop:

In this workshop, kids will learn to sculpt their own figurines out of clay. They will be taught basic skills in creating shape and texture before bringing their sculpture to life piece by piece! No firing will be required and kids can take their work home at the end of the session.To inspire their figurines, kids will also be introduced to dogū, ceramic sculptures from ancient Japan that often resemble humans and animals. Despite their ancient roots, dogū have inspired contemporary Japanese art and popular culture in everything from Doraemon to Pokémon!

Age: Kids 5-12

Date & time: Saturday 27 September, 1-3pm

Cost: $40 General Admission (Free with Creative Kids Voucher*)

*Creative Kids Vouchers cannot be split. Any Creative Kids Voucher used to pay for this workshop will be redeemed in its entirety.

Note: This workshop has a maximum capacity of 12 students and requires a minimum of five students to run.
