Try a variety of art-making activities guided by professional artists at our studios!
We run 8-week long term programs that follow the school terms, for children and adults, as well as school holiday workshops that allow you to try a taster of various art-making classes! Situated in our sun-lit studios, we are equipped with a ceramics kiln and a printing press, and everything you need to make clay, paint, craft and sculptural projects. Let your creativity expand as our expert artist facilitators guide you along to make new artworks!
Entry to Bankstown Arts Centre is via the front of the building at Dale Parade. Visitors with restricted mobility can use all public spaces at the Arts Centre. Disabled parking is also available at the Olympic Parade car park.
Incubate Artists Studios is within one minute walking-distance from Bankstown Station and Bus Interchange and features a wheelchair ramp and lifts.
Bankstown Arts Centre is within five minutes walking distance from Bankstown Train Station and Bus Interchange! It is by far the easiest and most advisable way to get to the Arts Centre. We recommend that you plan your trip in advance if taking public transportation. Visit transportnsw.info for information on train and bus schedules.
Parking is very limited at the Arts Centre precinct. Participants are suggested to use public transport wherever possible. Limited free 4-hours (4P) parking and accessible parking is available at the community carpark located on Olympic Parade. Contact us on 9707 5400 if you require accessibility arrangements.
Bookings for specific events and activities will be available approximately 2 weeks prior to the start of the school holidays. Please book online through Eventbrite.
Fees are non-refundable, and there are no transfers or refunds if you miss the workshop or performance.
Bankstown Arts Centre is an approved Creative Kids Provider. You can use your Creative Kids Voucher for an art class, to reduce the price by $50! Enter your 10-character Creative Kids Voucher code and child's details at the checkout on Eventbrite.
How does it work?
Parents, guardians and carers can claim a $50 voucher per year to put towards the cost of lessons and fees with registered providers. School-aged children between the ages of 4.5 to 18 are eligible and applying for vouchers is free.

*Please note-
Only one Creative Kids Voucher can be applied to each class.
Remaining balance and additional balance cannot be used.
You cannot use another child's Creative Kids Voucher; the voucher name must match the child booking details including birth date details.
You will not be able to enrol in a class with a discounted Creative Kids Voucher ticket unless you have a valid Creative Kids Voucher number.
During holiday workshops
Wear comfortable clothes and enclosed shoes
Bring a bottle of water; snack is optional (no nut products)
For parents/guardians - drop off your child in the workshop classroom five mins before the commencement of class and pick up your child at the end of the workshop. We do not provide childminding after the class.
We do not allow adults present at the workshop apart from our facilitator for WHS safety reasons. You are welcome to wait outside the classroom until the conclusion of the workshop
Bankstown Arts Centre advises parents that the students will be working with clay and paint that is difficult to remove from clothes, please wear suitable clothing for painting activities.
Student Conduct
Students attending classes will follow the rules of the Centre and the instructions of the teacher or other staff.
Students will not interfere with the work of others and will not behave in ways that present risks to the safety of themselves or others.
Students who present a risk to others or themselves through repeated inappropriate behaviour may be refused enrolment.
If children do not follow the rules or repeated requests from teachers or other staff to behave in an appropriate manner, parents will be contacted to collect their child from the Centre.
