📣Bankstown Arts Centre OPEN DAY returns for 2025!
Ever wondered what Bankstown Arts Centre offers? Come to our annual Open Day to experience a taster of workshops, meet the faces of our resident creative organisations and soak in a day of free activities, live performances and artist markets. Spend time in the studio creating your own masterpiece, browse through the latest creations of local makers and enjoy live music and dance all in the one place!
Together with the opening of our brand new exhibition Gut Waters, there is guaranteed fun for the whole family.
Drop in between 10am-12.30pm
Arrange flowers with collage and then decorate your floral creation with paint! Fun and easy for all ages.
Drop in at 10.30am, 11am, 11.30am or noon to claim your spot
A special opportunity to learn how to make Lebanese flatbread with prepared dough balls. Learn to prepare the dough with traditional techniques, season with homemade za’atar spices and use the bread oven. In the end, indulge in your own fresh saaj!

Level up your friendship bracelets by learning core beading and design techniques such as pattern planning, colour coordination, stringing methods, knotting for strength and finish, and clasp attachment — all essential to creating wearable, long-lasting pieces.

Make your favourite meals out of clay. Be inspired by dishes from around the world and contribute to the central display to have a banquet together!

Meet Utp’s friendly team members and learn more about what they do to support artists with self-determined projects. They will be running a drop-in all-ages activity based on their 2025 provocation ‘who is ready for another world?’. You are invited to write, draw and imagine – ‘what world are you ready for?’
