Seniors Ceramics: Terracotta Pots

Term 3 Art Program

Every Tuesday from 29 July to 19 August, 10am-12.30pm (four weeks)

In this class, you will learn the basics of hand-built pottery using terracotta clay. Over the course of four weeks, you will be taught how to create texture on clay and apply ceramic paints and glazes. Work at your own pace with step-by-step instructions and class demonstrations.

Note: This class has a maximum capacity of ten students and requires a minimum of five students to run.

The fee includes all materials as part of our art classes. If additional materials are required, such as providing your own images for references, the teacher will notify all students prior to those classes. 

Concession: a valid Seniors Card or Concession Card issued by Centrelink or a Student Card issued by a tertiary education organisation must be presented at the time of enrolment to be valid for our concession class fee.

Active and Creative Kids Vouchers

Great news, Bankstown Arts Centre is an approved Active and Creative Kids Provider! This means you can use your Active and Creative Kids Voucher for this class, to reduce the price by $50! When checking out on eventbrite, select the Active and Creative Kids Voucher option and enter your voucher number and child's details at the checkout.

Parents, guardians and carers can claim a $50 voucher per year to put towards the cost of lessons and fees with registered providers. School-aged children between the ages of 4.5 to 18 are eligible and applying for vouchers is free.

You will not be able to enrol in a class with a discounted Active and Creative Kids Voucher ticket unless you have a valid Active and Creative Kids Voucher number. Remaining balance cannot be used. Active and Creative Kids Vouchers are only accepted during enrolment periods, thank you for understanding.

Bankstown Arts Centre has a council-approved 'CovidSafe Plan' in order to ensure the health and safety of all visitors and Arts Centre staff. Measures include physical distancing, contactless hand sanitising and regularly cleaning.

Bankstown Arts Centre cannot accept responsibility for changes to students’ personal circumstances that prevent attendance. Fees are non-refundable and there are no transfers or refunds if you miss a class.

Fees are kept to a minimum and cover tuition, the use of equipment during classes and where included, the cost of tutor fees and/ or basic materials. Fees and charges may increase per financial year. For more information on fees, refer to Canterbury-Bankstown Fees and Charges document
